The Xbox One may not even be four months old, but it seems it may already be in line for some back-end upgrades in the shape of an upgrade to Microsoft's popular graphical API DirectX in a reveal due to take place at this year's Games Developers Conference in San Francisco.

DirectX 12 will feature in a GDC presentation at 10:00 PST on the day, 'DirectX: Evolving Microsoft's Graphics Platform', which will be led by Windows graphics development manager Anju Gosalia.
